This Privacy Policy explains what information Love New York ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you create and use a profile, we collect information you provide directly, including:

Account details: name, email address, and password
Profile details: gender, who you're looking for, date of birth, borough/neighborhood, marital status, bio, and profile photo
Optional details: phone number, if you choose to provide one
Content you create: messages you send to other members, and any posts (such as Top Picks)
Membership information: which plan you select and your order history
Anything you submit through our Contact Us form

Our hosting and infrastructure providers may also automatically log standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and operational purposes, in the same way most websites do.

We do not collect or store full credit card numbers. If you make a payment, that information is handled directly by our payment processor — we only ever receive confirmation of payment and limited reference details (such as the last 4 digits of a card), never the full card number.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and display your profile to other members
To operate messaging and other features of the Site
To process and manage your membership
To respond to messages you send us through Contact Us
To keep the Site safe — for example, reviewing reported content or accounts
To send you service-related updates, and, if you've opted in, occasional emails about the Site

3. What Other Members Can See

Your profile — including your name, age, photo, bio, and the details you choose to fill in — is visible to other members of the Site, since that's the purpose of a dating profile. Your email address and phone number are never shown to other members.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

Service providers who help us operate the Site, such as our hosting and database provider, and — once payments are fully enabled — a payment processor
Law enforcement or other parties, if required by law or to protect the safety of our members

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use only the minimum technical storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences on this device. We do not currently use third-party advertising trackers or analytics cookies.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you do, your profile is immediately hidden from other members. If you'd like your data permanently and completely erased, contact us at support@lovenewyork.com and we'll take care of it.

7. Your Choices

You can update your profile information at any time from your account settings
You can opt out of promotional emails at any time — contact support@lovenewyork.com to be removed from our mailing list
You can request a copy of, or the deletion of, your personal data by contacting us

8. Children's Privacy

Love New York is for adults 18 and older only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we've collected information from someone under 18, we'll delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls that limit who can view member data. That said, no online service can guarantee complete security, and we can't promise your information will never be accessed without authorization.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the updated Policy here with a new "Last updated" date.
